Austria
The
Aeronautics and Space Agency serves as a focal point for the
coordination of aerospace activities in Austria and is the Austrian
link to international aerospace activities and other space agencies.
ALR provides a supporting and advising function to the Federal
Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology in arrying
out the Austrian aerospace policy. ALR is the interface to ESA
and EU and other international organisations like EUMETSAT,
IAF, IAA and UN as well as national organisations (Austrospace).
ALR is specifically responsible for establishing the programmatic
framework and strategic guidance required for promoting Austrian
industry and scientific institutions to play a significant role
in international aerospace related undertakings. ALR provides
the organisation and management of programme contributions to
ESA and at national, bilateral and international level. ALR
is responsible for public relations and manages and organises
aerospace related events, education and training activities. |
